Cooper Black Jr. Memorial Field Trial and Recreation Area Another gem in Cheraw, this recreation area hosts field competitions on 7,000 acres of fields and forests. H. Cooper Black Jr. Memorial Field Trial and Recreation Area is also a popular place for equestrians with more than 20 miles of horseback riding trails. The park also has primitive and electric hook-up campsites, a meeting hall, and a waterfowl pond. The H. Cooper Black Jr. Memorial Field Trial and Recreation Area is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
