2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD

The Silverado LTD lineup starts with the Work Truck. It has a black grille, bumpers, and trim elements, along with Chevy's Durabed with 12 tie-downs. The Custom LTD trim adds LED taillights and 20-inch alloy wheels, while the LT LTD comes with a chrome center grille bar, chrome bumpers, and chrome mirror caps. This model also has 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights. Choose the LT Trail Boss or the Custom Trail Boss for a 2-inch factory lift, 18-inch alloy wheels, a two-speed transfer case, and Wrangler DuraTrac tires, or go with the RST for a body-colored center grille bar, LED exterior lighting, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Step up to the LTZ LTD for chrome exterior trim elements or to the High Country LTD for an exclusive grille, a power up and down tailgate, high-intensity LED headlights and 20-inch wheels.

The entry-level powertrain for the Silverado 1500 LTD is a 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder with 310 horsepower, but a 5.3-liter V-8 is available and will get you 355 horsepower. For extra power, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel six-cylinder with 277 horsepower is optional, or you can get a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower. Chevy offers the engines with either an 8-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission.

When equipped with the popular 5.3-liter V-8 engine, the Silverado has the power to do almost anything you need to accomplish in a truck. It also has the power to tow up to 11,500 pounds. If you need more towing power, the 6.2-liter V-8 will pull up to 13,300 pounds.

The entry-level LTD trim comes with either vinyl or cloth upholstery, manual windows, and a front bench seat. Just stepping up one trim level gets you power windows and door locks, but the LTZ is where you start getting more convenience features. This trim has a power-adjustable driver's seat, leather upholstery, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The High Country is even better, equipped with heated and ventilated front seats. Technology features in the Silverado LTD depend largely on the trim level. The vehicle starts with a 3.5-inch driver information display screen, but you can opt for an 8-inch digital display. You can get either a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, as well as Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and wireless charging.

Every 2022 Silverado 1500 LTD has a rearview camera, hill descent control, and stability control. A blind-spot camera and rear cross-traffic alert come standard with the LTZ and High Country, but these are optional for the LT and RST. The available Safety Confidence Package comes with forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking. You can add the Safety Package II for lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beam headlights, and adaptive cruise control.
